Mount Tamalpais – Views of San Francisco Bay Area

Spending some time in San Francisco? Here’s a fantastic day trip:

Go across the Golden Gate Bridge to visit Mt. Tamalpais State Park and Muir Woods. There are plenty of trails on Mt. Tam (as the locals call it), and the view from the peak is stunning.

Not a hiker? Don’t worry, you can drive to the top of the mountain, and a short walk across the parking lot gets you to the vista point without any sweat or elevated heartrate!
